Que: What is the admission process for doing B.Ed course in the college?
Ans: Admission to the B.Ed. course is held on the basis of the results of admission policy formed by Punjab Government.
Que: What is the criterion for opting subject combination for B. Ed. Course?
Ans: Admission in the B.Ed course will be subject based. At the time of admission each candidate shall opt for two teaching subjects. A candidate can opt for only those teaching subjects which she has studied at graduation level. Candidates who have passed additional subject at graduation level must ensure that that they are opting only those teaching subjects marks of which are taken into account for the purpose of calculating the percentage of of marks at graduation level.
Que: What are the minimum educational qualifications required for the admission to B.Ed. Course?
Ans: Educational qualifications as per N.C.T.E. Admission Policy for the Entrance Test for admission to the affiliated colleges of Education situated in U.T., Chandigarh and as per Panjab University rules. Candidates possessing at least 50% marks in aggregate in the Bachelor’s degree/ Master’s degree examination of a recognised University provided the applicant has offered at least two school subjects at the first degree and post-graduate degree level. There is a relaxation of 5% marks in favour of SC/ST candidates.
Que: What do the terms U.T. Pool and general pool mean?
Ans: U.T. Pool: Out of the total sanctioned intake of the institutions 60% seats will be filled up from amongst the students who passed their qualifying examination from colleges recognized by the Chandigarh Administration and situated in Union Territory of Chandigarh as a regular student of the said college/Institution, subject to the condition that such students must have studied for two years at Chandigarh and have passed one lower qualifying examination from the colleges/Institutions situated in Union Territory of Chandigarh. These seats will be termed as U.T. Pool. General Pool: Out of the total sanctioned intake of the institutions 40% seats will be filled up from amongst the students who passed their qualifying examination from Institutions other than those located in Union Territory of Chandigarh or otherwise. These seats will be termed as General Pool.
Que: What is the criterion for opting Social Studies as teaching subject in B.Ed. Course?
Ans: Teaching of Social Studies shall be opted by the graduates who have taken up any two of the following subjects at B.A /M.A. level

Que: Can I opt for two languages as teaching subjects in B. Ed.?
Ans: No, You cannot opt for two languages as teaching subjects in B.Ed Course except you have studied Language as honour in Punjab University Only.
