Library

The Library is a welcoming and thoughtfully organized space that nurtures a love for reading, inquiry and independent learning. It houses a diverse and carefully curated collection of fiction, non-fiction, reference books, encyclopaedias, periodicals and age-appropriate learning resources. The library supports academic research, enhances language skills, and encourages students to explore ideas beyond the classroom.

Designed as a quiet zone for reflection and study, the library plays a vital role in developing reading habits, information literacy, and lifelong learning skills among students of all age groups.

 

Library Rules

All students and staff of the school are members of the library:

  • All students and staff members of the school are registered members of the library.
  • Marking, underlining, writing or defacing library books, periodicals or newspapers is strictly prohibited.
  • Reference books and current periodicals are not issued and may be consulted only within the library premises.
  • Books must be returned within the stipulated time. Failure to do so will be viewed seriously and a fine of ₹1 per day will be charged.
  • The Librarian reserves the right to recall any issued book at any time, even before the expiry of the normal loan period.
  • In case a book is misused, damaged, wrongly handled or lost, the concerned member must replace the book or pay its current market price.
  • After use, books, periodicals and newspapers must be returned to their designated places.
  • Members are expected to take good care of library furniture, equipment, and resources, ensuring the library remains neat and orderly.
  • Food and beverages are strictly not allowed inside the library.
  • Library computers are to be used only for academic purposes.
  • A No Dues Certificate must be obtained from the Librarian by every student at the time of transfer or withdrawal from the school.
  • Strict silence and discipline must be maintained at all times. Conversation, if necessary, should be soft and minimal.
