This edition of Innocent Hearts, ‘News and Views’ represents the kaleidoscopic talent that embodies the spirit of each Innocentite. The e-magazine boasts of panoply of online education, enchanting artwork and engrossing. This remarkable issue has been possible owing to the tradition at Innocent Hearts School of working together through a shared vision and values to achieve the best outcomes for our students. It gives me profound pleasure to observe my tutelage working day in and day out for whole hearted participation both in academics & activities .
At Innocent Hearts School, we constantly strive to provide a safe and inclusive community that fosters resilience, innovation, connection and life-long learning among our learners. Keeping pace with the rapidly evolving society of today demands a lot from an individual. The challenges in contemporary era is even greater. It is the responsibility of educational establishments to arm their students with requisite traits to strongly cope up with ongoing challenges of personal and professional life. Here, we diligently recognize our role and that’s why it is not just scholastic achievement that is dear to us but for us ‘Character Building’ is equally crucial.
Part of this ‘Character Development’ is our attempt named ‘Disha’ by Bowry Memorial Educational and Medical Trust to help our students imbibe a few essential key characteristics. This endeavour focuses on some burning issues of the modern age including the Indian girl child’s education, the ever increasing impact of Global warming and the menace of drug and alcohol abuse. I also feel proud of the efforts of my team when I state the fact that we are the first school in our region to publish an E-magazine which further helps us in cutting out the use of paper and encourages everyone around to Go Green.
I am sure this E-magazine is going to reverberate our efforts of trying to fortify our learners with the skills, mind sets and qualities that best equip them for success in the world of the future. Here we have a dynamic learning community where we value collaborative learning, positive relationships and building capacity amongst our learners to effectively allow them to engage with the outside world, where problem solving, evaluating, working in teams, communicating, creating and innovating are not only valued concepts, but expected skills, attributes and capabilities.
Lastly, I am of the opinion that we are all perpetual learners in different moulds and therefore, we should never forget the following maxim:
“Learning is the only thing the mind never exhausts, never fears, and never regrets.”
